"The Black Crystal Ball" This book, based on fact, will be available in June 2010.
The book was conceived during a period of temporary inactivity during a convalescence from a work injury. (nothing trivial!) I had to stay indoors for a couple of months whilst I enjoyed a kind of freedom rarely experienced before in my life, that allowed me some peace and quiet, to concentrate on some writing that I had been promising myself for some years.
The Black Crystal Ball is a story about a normal family, having a normal life, in a rural neighbourhood. Their lives were changed forever when they went to a psychic and mystic fayre, one Sunday morning.
If there were any other days that this could have happened, it certainly wouldn't be a Sunday. Nothing ever happened on a Sunday! Not in Ashington anyway.
Were the happenings just a series of unusual incidents, were they unusual occurrences, were they coincidental, or intentional happenings?
They were certainly the strangest things ever happening to George and Caroline. What started out as an innocent trip to the local hotel, where they were holding a local Psychic and Mystic Fayre, strange things happened before they had left the car park to go home.
Once they got home, even stranger things happened through the course of the next few weeks, increasing in their frightening intensity. The attempted rape which went horribly wrong for the attackers, the missing boy, thought abducted, found just in time, diced fingers, the Police, drug addicts, you could not begin to imagine what would happen next.
Just what was happening to George and Caroline?
It is a very compelling and very scary read.
